From: Terry Mitchell, WCBA Disaster Relief Action Group Leader
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Terry Mitchell, and I am the new Action Group Leader for the West Central Baptist Association. I will be organizing and assembling people who are interested in being a part of Missouri Disaster Relief.
I heard about Disaster Relief from a friend and decided to look into it. I attended a training session and got “hooked” so to say. The aspect of being able to go out and help those in need whether that be physically or spiritually, really touched me. There are so many avenues that are open to so many people.
Chainsaw Mass Care/Feeding
Chaplaincy Incident Management
Childcare Incident Command System (ICS)
Damage Assessment Mud Out
Heavy Equipment
Training courses are approximately $25-35 each plus your time and gas to attend. Food is provided. Lodging is provided on site as well.
Randy Shipman was the former Action Group Leader and has decided to step down and I have taken his spot. He will continue to help us. I would love to speak to you more about Disaster Relief is and does. Whether that be by email or in-person. I am available to speak to you over the phone, but I can also come and speak to your congregation as well. I would love to do this!!
Thank you and God Bless
